HPP Krško in regular production as of 1 April

On 24 March, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Spatial Planning issued the operating for HPP Krško dam structure. By this act, one-year trial operating period was concluded, which placed HPP Krško to regular production.
The construction of HPP Krško ended by a technical surveillance on 7 March 2013 and it was officially opened on 7 June of the same year. The trial period commenced on 1 April 2013 with the accumulation pool only partially filled to the height of 162.90 m.a.s.l., which was sufficient to complete the launching tests of the aggregates and to begin with the trial production. The accumulation pool was filled to the nominal height of the  headwaters on 7 June 2013, when infrastructure works were completed (raising Road G1-5, deepening of the riverbed downstream from the HPP).
During the trial period there were no significant deviations recorded, which would have any effect on the production. All imperfections have been or are being managed within the warranty clause in co-operation with equipment suppliers. Favourable water capacity during the trial period enabled the HPP to be fully operational and to be tested in circumstances of higher water discharge.
