Increased water capacity and HESS production

Due to above the average water capacity in the first half of 2014, the HESS company records a positive deviation from the production plan, based on the 30-years of hydrological statistics (1980-2010).
HESS hydro plants have exploited the increase in the water capacity by remaining operational round the clock and providing optimized maintenance. In the period January-July 2014, the hydro plants have produced more than 300 GWh of electric energy, which represents 124% of the planned realisation for the same period and 74% realisation of the yearly plan.
If the trend of the increased water capacity continues, then HPP Boštanj, HPP Arto-Blanca and HPP Krško will achieve a record production of electric energy from a renewable source – water.
