On 13 March 2014, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Spatial Planning issued a partial building permit to the HESS company for the construction of the dam structure of HPP Brežice.
By that act, the final requirement was met in order to commence with construction HPP Brežice. The official beginning of the construction works will take place on the location of the future HPP Brežice on 25 March 2014 at 2pm in the presence of Mrs. Alenka Bratušek, the Prime Minister of the Slovenian government.
