We would like to inform all residents of the Brežice municipality and all other stakeholders that due to flow control testing taking place at the Krško Nuclear Power Plant (NEK) dam structure, the water level in the Brežice HPP reservoir will be lowered to an elevation of 148.50 m a.s.l. from 153.00 m a.s.l. between 2 April and 14 April 2018. The water level is expected to vary by as much as 100 cm/day. In this period, the flow rates of the river Sava may vary at Krško HPP and, as a result, downstream from Brežice HPP as well.
The raising of the water level back to the nominal elevation has been scheduled to begin on Tuesday 10 April 2018 and finish on Saturday 14 April 2018.
Again, all residents of the Brežice municipality and all other stakeholders are advised to exercise extreme caution and be extra careful in carrying out any activities near the river Sava during this period due to the lowered water level in the Brežice HPP reservoir, varying water level and flow rates of the river Sava and the raising of the water level back to the nominal elevation.
